Eppie’s Pre-Race Kayak and Canoe Clinic
Current Adventures Kayaking, in conjunction with Eppie’s Great Race and The River City Paddlers, sponsors this instructional clinic to get you ready for the Pre-Race and for The Great Race. All skill levels are welcome. Local experts and top competitors in the paddling and racing scene will be on hand to provide inside tips and insight into the techniques and strategies that can help you paddle far more effectively and safely during Eppie’s Great Race.
Participants will be divided by craft and experience levels. Valuable skills for beginners to experts will be addressed for all types of watercraft. During the clinic we will proceed downstream to Goethe Park, covering the entire Great Race paddling course.

Time: Registration will begin at 8:30am near the “Great Race” at the watercraft starting area (south side of the lower Sunrise footbridge, downstream of Sunrise Avenue) and the clinic will begin at 9:30am, and last till approximately 12:00 noon.
Cost: $20/person – payable on site: a portion of the proceeds go to benefit the Sacramento County Therapeutic Recreation Services.
