Inflatable Kayaking
Take charge of your whitewater river fun and learn quickly with our beginning classes as you power your kayak down the rapids. Inflatable kayaking is an easy, safe way to try out whitewater kayaking and have some great fun while you’re at it! Imagine what you get when you cross rafting with river kayaking. A much faster learning curve and the less confining feel of the inflatable helps some folks avoid the anxiety they have over being “inside” of a kayak. Participants can choose to be in single or double kayaks, offering opportunities for parent/child outings and more.
You ‘ll learn to read the river’s currents and control and maneuver the kayak with your new paddling skills. Day one you’ll be catching eddies, surfing river waves, bouncing through rapids and getting that full endorphin rush from all the fun, without all the anxiety!
Day two really let’s you put your skills to the test and go down a longer and more exciting stretch of whitewater. These outings are run primarily on the South and Middle Forks of the American River. Some special outings for inflatable kayakers are also held on the Trinity River in Northern California and the East Fork Carson River just south of Lake Tahoe.
