Pool Roll Sessions
Rolling is a skill you want to learn correctly the first time. Our experienced instructors make the difference between frustration and success. One-on-one instruction in The River Store pool provides the best environment for mastering this counter intuitive maneuver. If you’re learning a new roll (offside, hand, back deck) or your roll only works part of the time, we can work with you to get it up to speed. 2:1 student/instructor ratio
Cost: $50/per person, maximum 4 (2:1 student/instructor ratio)
When: Saturdays, 5:00pm-6:30pm
Where: The River Store’s on-site Rolling Pool
Private Pool Roll Sessions
Cost: $100 per 90 minute session for 1-3 participants
When: By request – call 530-333-9115 to schedule
Where: The River Store’s on-site Rolling Pool
Prerequisites: No true prerequisites for Roll Sessions. River Kayaking 1 or Sea Kayaking 1 encouraged.
Progression: River Rolling is the next class to consider once you have a reliable pool roll.
River Rolling
Tired of watching others have all the fun? These classes are designed to greatly increase your confidence and technique for rolling in the river. We use video review, along with an emphasis on personal assessment and training, to help you overcome anxieties or technique problems that keep your roll from being the combat move you desire. We can help you make the transition from bystander to confident play boater and river runner!
Cost: $125/person
When: 9:00am – 5:00pm, Saturdays
2010 Dates: Saturday, October 16
Prerequisites: River Kayaking 2 or equivalent and a consistently successful pool roll.
Progression: Many of our clients take River Rolling a number of times. You can also consider a play boating class to really put your new rolling skills to the test!
