Kayaking Trip on Cosumnes River Nature Preserve
Paddle with us through the lush riparian jungle surrounding the Cosumnes River as it meanders through a 6700-acre nature preserve. The preserve is tucked away just south of Sacramento. Spring offers visiting wildlife and waterfowl. Summer offers the added presence of the amazing Bat Colony that thrives in the contours of the bridge over the river. Watch as thousands of bats exit the bridge each evening to hunt through the local fields and forests. Fall tours offer unique opportunities to spot many migrating birds including Sandhill Cranes. The spectacular changing colors of leaves are an added draw.
This is our 17th year guiding trips in the preserve! Explore this incredible riparian corridor as only kayakers can. Our experienced guides will lead you through the hidden sloughs and trails, observing the many species of birds, wildlife and the varied flora that make this preserve so unique. Stop for lunch under the forest’s cool canopy.
