This class is for the junior who wants to keep the kayaking going after completing the beginning class . The class is taught on the Lower American River and continues with a more intermediate set of challenges such as kayak surfing, river reading and eddy catching.  This is a smaller group class for those juniors 10-14 who want to keep on progressing with their kayaking skills.

Junior Novice-For the juniors who just want to keep the kayaking fun going after their beginning class. This 2 day intermediate class takes place on the lower American River,  and it gives kids more river experience and skills like eddy catching, surfing and river reading. these classes are smaller and a bit more challenging for the junior who took to the sport of kayaking well and is jazzed to continue.

For young enthusiasts we’ve got the ultimate week of paddling fun! Kids have a great time in this adventure-filled program, which teaches kayaking skills & river safety through games, group activities and exploration. Camp based in Coloma area.

Let us help make this summer special for your junior. We get them smiling at the beginning of class and have them laughing by the end! Using active games, group activities and river, lake and wildlife exploration, Current Adventure’s instructors teach youth kayaking skills and safety. Days 1 and 2 are spent on Lake Natoma and day 3 sees us on the Lower American. This class leaves them begging for more!

Kids love kayaking and they take to it almost instantly. So our kid’s program is a great way to harness some of their boundless energy. We use equipment specifically designed for kids, with fun & water safety as our primary goals. They learn through a variety of games, group activities & exploration. Beginning classes are taught in the safe, controlled environment of Lake Natoma and special hideaways like Swampland and Berry Pond.
